‘Nope’: Poster Reveals New Jordan Peele Film, And Speculation Arises
Jordan Peele’s forthcoming film, simply titled Nope, has received an ambiguous movie poster on Thursday that has fans speculating about the plot. Details about the film are currently non-existent, but Keke Palmer, Daniel Kaluuya, and Steven Yeun are set to star.
In the poster, there’s a dark cloud that appears sinister, with a string of flags attached to it. Below, we see a well-lit city that rests among the mountains. Personally, I’m predicting an alien invasion, with the UFO cloaked as a cloud. Perhaps my theory holds substance as we consider the recent and groundbreaking UFO coverage within mainstream media. Or maybe, as some Twitter users suspect, it’s a conscious killer cloud with bizarre weather abilities (that likely targets Black people).
Hopefully, we’ll receive a trailer sooner rather than later that will alleviate at least some of our anticipation. Nope, however, won’t be released until July 22nd, 2022, so we’ll have plenty of time to compile a list of our most ambitious plot theories. Let us know your wildest guess in the comments below.
Nope will mark Peele’s third feature film, following Get Out and Us.
