The International Black Writers Festival Is Returning To Howard After Nearly 40 Years
Howard University’s Moorland-Spingarn Research Center recently announced that the International Black Writers Festival is returning for the first time since 1983. From October 5-8th, the festival will be held on Howard’s campus grounds.
Guest speakers will include Ta-Nehisi Coates, Clint Smith, Sonia Sanchez, Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, Bibi Barake, and more. The festival’s mission statement reads: “To come together as one, to engage the diversity, complexity and beauty of writing the global Black experience.”
